Countertop visualizer: try real quartz and porcelain on your own kitchen
Upload a photo of your kitchen or bathroom, pick a countertop, and see your own counters, island and backsplash ledge redone in that surface. Then try the next one on the same photo.
Most brand visualizers only show that brand. This one puts Cambria, Silestone, Dekton, Viatera and Vadara on the same photo, so you can compare a Cambria white against a Silestone white in your light, next to your cabinets, instead of across three websites.

Before
AfterHow it works
Compare countertops in three steps
- 01
Photograph the counters you have
Get as much countertop in frame as you can, including the island and any backsplash. Daylight plus the kitchen lights on gives the truest color.
- 02
Pick one countertop and nothing else
Choose a surface from the countertop menu and leave the other categories on "N/A" so the cabinets and floor stay as they are. Add an edge profile if you want to see one.
- 03
Repeat with your shortlist
Run the same photo with each finalist. Three or four results of the same kitchen make the differences in tone and veining obvious.

Judging veining and undertone in a render
Two "white with grey veins" countertops can look nothing alike once they are installed. The differences that matter are undertone (cool blue-grey whites versus warm creamy ones), vein scale (fine and busy versus wide and sweeping), and contrast. A render on your own photo shows those against your cabinets, floor and wall color, which is where a 4-inch sample struggles.
Look at the island first. Large uninterrupted runs show vein scale best, and that is where a bold pattern either becomes the feature of the room or starts to compete with everything around it.
Edge profiles
The studio can draw a 1½-inch edge in 10 profiles: Bevel, Demi Bullnose, Dupont, Dupont Bullnose, Full Bullnose, Miter, Ogee Bullnose, Ogee Square, Pencil Edge and Square, 1/4" Radius Top. The option is in beta, so check the edge in the result before you rely on it. Thicker, more decorative edges such as ogee and dupont read as traditional; mitered and square edges read as modern.
Before you choose a slab
A render shows the pattern a product is known for, not the slab you will receive. Natural-look quartz and porcelain vary from slab to slab, and the seams, vein direction and edge are set by your fabricator.
- Narrow to two or three finalists on screen.
- Get physical samples and look at them in your kitchen at morning and evening light.
- For bold veining, ask to see the actual slab and where the seams will fall.

Questions
Countertop visualizer questions
- Which countertop brands can I try?
- Cambria, Silestone, Dekton, Viatera and Vadara, plus porcelain and quartz surfaces outside those brands: 25 in total. The list grows as products are added to the menu.
- Is the visualizer affiliated with Cambria or Cosentino?
- No. DIYKBdesign is independent. Brand names are used only to identify the real products the studio can render, so you can compare brands on one photo.
- Can I change only the countertop?
- Yes. Select a countertop and leave every other category on "N/A". The AI is instructed to keep the rest of the room as it is, though small changes elsewhere can happen.
- Will the result match the slab I buy?
- It will show the product's typical color and veining, not your specific slab. Natural-look surfaces vary, so confirm with samples or the slab itself before you commit.
- Can I try granite, marble or a color not on the menu?
- Named products come from the menu. For anything else, describe it in the Refine tab, for example "honed black granite countertops". Results for described materials are less faithful than for menu products.
- Does it work for bathroom vanities?
- Yes. Every countertop on the menu is available for bathrooms too, and the shower surround can be set to match the countertop slab.
